SHRM-CP

The SHRM-CP certification is best for people who generally perform human resources or related responsibilities, or for people pursuing careers in human resource management.

Shrm-cp certified candidates do not require a human resources position, nor do they require a degree or human resources experience; But examinee had better be familiar with human resources basic practice and principle first.

The purpose of the SHRM-CP exam is to assess competency in human resource operations. Such work may include implementing human resource policies, assisting with day-to-day human resource functions, or acting as a human resource liaison between employees and stakeholders.


SHRM-SCP

The SHRM-SCP certification exam is most suitable for professionals who have at least three years of experience in or related to human resource strategic decision making, or who have held SHRM-CP for at least three years and who have held or will hold strategic decision making responsibilities as described above.

Shrm-scp certified candidates do not require a human resources position or a degree to register.

The purpose of the SHRM-SCP examination is to assess the ability to make strategic decisions in human resources. Such work includes formulating human resource policies or procedures, supervising human resource operation and policy implementation, guiding the whole human resource enterprise, and making human resource strategy consistent with organizational goals.

Applicants are required to demonstrate that they have completed at least 1,000 hr strategic decision-making hours per year (January-December). More than 1,000 hours does not equal more than one year of work experience.

Part-time jobs are also accepted as long as they meet the standard of 1,000 hours per year. Part-time work experience can be paid or hourly.

Hr consultants can demonstrate qualified experience by performing HR related duties for clients. Contract hours must also meet the standard of 1000 hours/year.
